Cheap days out in Menorca
You can’t go wrong with a beach day, and you’ll be treated to handfuls of serene, unspoilt beaches across the whole island. Shallow bays and clean sand are the perfect setting for both building sand castles with the little ones and topping up your tan under a parasol.
Away from the beach, hike or bike along the rugged coastal path from Arenal den Castell towards Mahon, or hop on the Tourist Train and explore the quaint fishing village of nearby Na Macaret. Take an evening stroll along the marina in Cala’n Bosch and watch the sunset as you enjoy tapas in an authentic restaurant, or let the kids run wild across the play parks in Cala’n Forcat.
The affordable jewel of the Balearics
Not only can you bag yourself a brilliant bargain to this delicious island, you can find yourself there in just over two hours from the UK.
High season runs from May to October with the cheapest deals to be found at at the beginning and end of this period. If you’re restricted by school holidays, try going as close as possible to the start of term when many prices begin to dip.
