The National Cherry Blossom Festival is certainly a sight to see when visiting Washington DC. It commemorates the 3,000 cherry trees that were gifted from Mayor Yukio Ozaki in 1912, celebrating the longstanding friendship between the United States and Japan. More than 1.5 million people join the festivities every year to enjoy diverse, colourful, and fun activities.!
For the first time since 2019, the National Memorial Day Parade is back in person in Washington DC to commemorate the men and women who have fought for the United States. The parade falls on Constitution Avenue and it’s a great day to witness the American camaraderie and patriotism.
