A guide to nightlife in Menorca

Menorca is pretty quiet when it comes to its nightlife scene, at least in comparison to its Balearic neighbours Majorcaand Ibiza. Rather than dancing in wild clubs to the pumping music of DJs, tourists choose cheap holidays to Menorca to relish in its natural beauty and have a drink at a chilled out bar with live music in the background. There are a few all-night clubs in Menorca as well as a great selection of beach bars, karaoke joints, British and Irish pubs, jazz clubs, cocktails bars and sports bars. All inclusive holidays to Menorca are popular, but whether drinks at your hotel are included or not these are some bars it’s worth stepping out to.

Scenic views at Cova D'en Xoroi - Cala'n Porter

This is almost certainly the most dramatic nightlife venue you will ever visit. Cova D’en Xoroi is a cave bar that has been moulded into the side of a cliff. You can sit outside on the terraces jutting out over the water and take in the epic views of the Mediterranean Sea in this unique location.

Cova D’en Xoroi is a restaurant and bar in the evenings and then transforms into a nightclub with DJs, live music and dancing inside the cave. There is an entry fee but this includes a voucher for a drink and the breath-taking panoramic sea views come included

Chill out at Tom's Bar - Cala'n Bosch

Tom’s Bar is a family-run British bar and you’ll feel right at home as they welcome you to their inclusive establishment. This friendly bar is always busy, a testament to the wonderful service and cracking atmosphere that goes on nightly. Entertainment runs throughout the evenings and you’ll be able to watch all the live sports action on their large screen TVs.

Live music at Bar 51 Pub - Arenal Den Castell

This open air bar is extremely popular with holiday-goers due to their good-value drinks and large, fruity cocktails. Bar 51 Pub plays live music from local musicians in the evenings including salsa music and Spanish guitar, setting the scene for a traditional Menorca holiday. You’ll also be able to catch up on the football games from back home and join in with the weekly karaoke tunes.

A little Hawaii at Bou Hai - Son Bou

Aloha from Son Bou‘s Hawaiian themed bar, Bou Hai. Be transported to an island of no troubles as you take in their Hawaiian themed decor and furnishings, including hanging wicker chairs, hammocks, bamboo and even resident parrots.

Delicious fresh fruit cocktails and pina coladas arrive by servers on roller skates as Hawaiian island music plays in the background. Bou Hai is a child-friendly venue so you won’t have you leave your kids with the in-laws. Attached to this Hawaiian bar is an arcade room and soft play area for younger ones.

All night long at Big Apple Karaoke Bar - Cala'n Bosch

You haven’t tried karaoke till you’ve been to the Big Apple Karaoke Bar. This buzzing and exciting joint is sure to get your night started off right, with free-flowing drinks and hilarious moments on the stage.

Brave the limelight and sing along to your favourites like Whitney Huston, Cher and Take That, or just sit back and watch others take to the mic. Friendly and welcoming, you’ll make new friends and have a laugh at the Big Apple.
