Kos holidays offer a variety of resorts that make the most of the wonderful beaches and calm Aegean seas. It's the third largest Dodecanese Island; with over 290 kilometres of coastline the golden sands that edge the south coast are among the best on the Greek islands, as for the northern shores, they’re spot on for watersports.

And being one of the most central islands in the Decanese, Kos has good ferry and hydrofoil connections to its neighbouring islands as well as Athens on the mainland. For this reason Kos is also a very popular island hopping destination. It is no secret that one of the big attractions of Kos holidays is the lively nightlife and clubbing scene.

For those less interested in the party scene the modern marina of Kos Town among the historical buildings and pretty mosaics, a visit to the ruins of the Roman baths and amphitheatre are an attractive sight and a 15th-century castle built by the knights of St. John still stands majestically over the town.

From the beautiful ruins of Asklepion to the birthplace of Hippocrates, from the mysterious spring at Pyli to the ancient chapels of Asfendiou, you will find plenty of history here which attracts holiday makers of every kind with a variety of budgets to suit. Eating out is part of the Greek culture so you won’t run short of al fresco restaurants and typical Greek dining. You can be as British as roast dinner and Yorkshire pudding or as Greek as olives and ouzo – Kos caters for every type of diner.
