A guide to nightlife in Kos

Whether you’re looking for a wild night out on the town or want to go for a few quiet drinks in a taverna, there’s a spot for you to enjoy during holidays to Kos. The evening entertainment at the smaller resorts is all about the hotels, whereas slightly larger resorts will have Greek tavernas and bars situated around the seaside. But if you’re looking for somewhere to get down on the dancefloor, you should head to the capital of Kos Town or Kardamena. Kos Town’s two main pub streets, Nafklirou and Diakon, are where all the bars and clubs are located. Kardamena is known as Kos’ party capital and tourists from all over flock to ‘Bar Street’ to get the party started.

Mascot Bar, Tingaki

Tingaki‘s nightlife scene is on the rise and Mascot Bar is a favourite among visitors here, with their live rock bands, DJs and karaoke every evening. There’s never a quiet moment here as the night’s entertainment gets everyone on their feet, singing and dancing along to the music. There’s even a Latin themed night where you can break out your salsa dancing moves.

Stone Roses, Kos Town

Eleftheria Square in Kos Town is one of the most vibrant nightlife areas you’ll discover on Greek island holidays, and it’s also home to the Stone Roses bar. This funky joint is set in a beautiful stone Greek building, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Stone Roses’ great location means you can sit out under the stars and order your drink of choice from the extensive menu. No matter what your tipple you’ll find it here, with an array of ciders, beers, cocktails, spirits and wines, as well as non-alcoholic coffees and frappes. Music plays early into the morning with DJs mixing tracks from all sorts of genres including indie rock and Irish tunes.

Memories Bar, Tingaki

You’ll be welcomed in like old friends at the Memories Bar in Tingaki. The friendly owners keep the party atmosphere going all night long with amazing cocktails with sparklers, zesty mojitos and the crazy-coloured sweets-flavoured shots. If you’re feeling adventurous you can even try out the shisha pipes.

Mylos Beach, Kos Town

Located on the old seafront windmill is Mylos Beach, open both day and night. Tables sprawl out onto the beach as live music and DJs take centre stage. The dancefloor here is packed with both tourists and locals, so it’s the ideal spot to make some new friends on your holiday. During the day Mylos Beach serves up delicious seafood and Greek meals, while in the evening it transforms into a music and drinks nightclub. Whenever you decide to drop by the beautiful Aegean Sea view will be waiting to welcome you.

The Jam Bar, Kardamena

This lively bar entices visitors from all over Kos to come and try their delectable and affordable drinks – think cosmopolitans, mojitos and daiquiris. If you’re itching to catch the football match, The Jam Bar has large flat screen TVs around, with games always on. For a spot to unwind away from the music and TV there’s comfy outside seating where you can watch the world go by with a glass of red wine in hand.
