With average summer temperatures of 30°C, the Caribbean is a paradise for beach lovers. The temperature sits at around 27°C even in the cooler months so holidaymakers can savour poolside days and warm evenings.

For a Caribbean destination with a twist, Cuba is worth considering. It's colourful past and vibrant present has created a heady mix of luxury beach hotels and sightseeing options. The aquamarine shores of the Dominican Republic are also hard to beat, with it's upmarket complexes, UNESCO sites and rural villages.

The Dominican Republic's beaches are top-notch too, with the tranquil resort of Uvero Alto providing a delightful east coast venue with 50 kilometres of beautiful sands known as the Coconut Coast. Lined with swaying palms it whispers relaxation all the way, plus the coral reef and kaleidoscope of marine life make it ideal for snorkelling.

For laid-back beaches Runaway Bay in Jamaica, with it's white sand crescent, offers a get-away-from-it all vibe and opportunities for reef diving. Many All Inclusive hotels are located on the beach with some offering their own private section.

And in Aruba, Palm Beach's glitzy hotels, beautiful beach and attractive piers ticks all the right boxes. While for laid back charm and translucent waters, the 11 kilometres of ivory shore at Druif Beach is something quite special.
