What Is The All Inclusive Rule In The Balearics?

The All Inclusive rule limits All Inclusive guests to a maximum of six alcoholic drinks a day – 3 with lunch and 3 with evening meal.

The rule was brought in by the regional government in 2022 to combat antisocial behaviour caused by excessive drinking in certain areas of Spain.

Where Do The New Balearic All Inclusive Rules Apply?

Where the Majorca All Inclusive Rule Applies:

• Magaluf
• Playa de Palma
• El Arenal

Where the Ibiza All Inclusive Rule Applies:

• San Antonio

Where the Menorca All Inclusive Rule Applies:

• There are no limits in Menorca for All Inclusive. As there’s no typical party zones in Menorca, it’s free from the 6 drink rule.

Whilst there are All Inclusive options available in Majorca and Ibiza, to avoid the 6 drink rule opting for Self Catering or Half Board packages can be a good solution!

Can I buy more drinks?

• You can buy more alcoholic drinks if you wish but they will not be included in your paid for All Inclusive package

Does the 6 drink rule affect soft drinks?

• No, you will be able to have as many soft drinks as you like in your All Inclusive holiday.

Are pubs and bars affected by the Balearic All Inclusive rule?

• Pubs and bars are no longer prohibited to do happy hours, two-for-one offers, organised bar crawls and similar promotions, to keep the excessive drinking to a minimum
• Boat parties have also been stopped in line with the crack down
