Antalya Region Holidays - Travel Guide
Holidays in Antalya - Turkey's Sunny Southern Coast

The city of Antalya is a popular Turkey holiday destination set in a bay on Turkey's southern coast. Antalya region holidays are set against the dramatic backdrop of the Taurus Mountains that rise over 3000 metres above the city. The foothills of the Taurus are covered in the characteristic Mediterranean maquis shrubs, while the forests are filled with oaks and pine trees.
Antalya Holidays offer a wide variety of clubs and bars. These make up the pulsating nightlife of the city where you can dance the night away, catch a traditional belly dancing show or relax over a quiet drink by the waterfront. You can book Holidays in the Antalya region from leading brands at Holiday Hypermarket.
The Turkish Riviera

The Antalya holiday region has a fabulous year round climate and is sometimes known as 'The Turkish Riviera'. Just along the coast is the area of Kemer, a charming, quiet region at the base of the Taurus Mountains with its own yacht harbour and a well-established tourist infrastructure. Holidays in Antalya along this part of the coast are a good opportunity to relax and get away from it all.
Along the coast to the east of Antalya, Belek and Side (pronounced see-day) present similarly enjoyable beachfront activities and fine beaches. Antalya Turkey holidays are a good alternative to the usual Spanish resorts and should appeal to groups, families and couples alike
Attractions of the Antalya Region

The beaches in the Antalya region offer a wide variety of water sports and there are plenty of local excursions to places of historical interest. If you're feeling energetic Termessos is perhaps the most interesting ancient city in the Antalya region, built at a height of over 1000 metres in the Taurus Mountains. It comprises an incredible number of rare plant and animal species in the Termessos National Park.
The ancient site of Olympos is located in a beautiful sandy bay about an hour and a half from Antalya. The ruins, which consist of a Byzantine bathhouse with mosaic floors, a theatre, and some excavated tombs, are spread out on either Side of the Ulupinar River.
