The Glyfada resort in Corfu is a quiet, relaxing place on the craggy west coast of the island.

Glyfada is renowned for having one of the finest beaches in Corfu. The warm azure waters of the Ionian wash the long stretch of fine golden sand at Glyfada beach. For many there is no better way to pass the time than lying back on the sand but there is also a superb variety of water sports to choose from, including water skiing, jet skiing, windsurfing and sailing. A golf course near Glyfada provides other opportunities to wile away the hours in the glorious sunshine.

The scenery in Glyfada is magnificent and the rolling hills, rocky cliffs and pine trees often prove popular with walkers that decide to take a wander along the coast. The sunsets on Glyfada holidays are also notably impressive, with shades of red, orange and pink filling the sky at dusk.

The nightlife on Glyfada holidays is relaxed and welcoming with a good selection of bars and traditional tavernas. For a more animated evening’s entertainment Corfu Town to the east of Glyfada has much more in the way of lively bars and nightclubs. Corfu Town and the Airport are only about 12 miles from Glyfada so it should not take long to get from the Airport by taxi.
