Montenegro Luxury Holidays

Join the glamorous lifestyle along Montenegro's Budva Riviera

With flights from the UK of just over two and a half hours, and average July temperatures of around 26°C, holidays to Montenegro offer a balance of beach life and sightseeing, with a distinctly cosmopolitan twist.

The pretty Budva Riviera is where most of the holiday resorts are, and along its 320-kilometre stretch of coastline are some 100 beaches to enjoy. Becici is a fashionable mecca for the wealthy with a selection of luxury hotels. The seafront is where many of them are situated and the likes of Madonna and Angelina Jolie have been known to stay in the area. The sand and pebbled beach is situated just in front of the town and offers a cocktail bar, a choice of watersports and plenty of space to relax and sunbathe.

Down the coast, Petrovac is a relaxing holiday base. The town beach has reddish sands in a crescent bay with plenty of sunbeds, parasols and watersports for fun-packed beach days. Close by, Lucice Beach offers an array of bars behind the small pebble beach.

Living the high life in Montenegro

Becici’s promenade is packed with restaurants serving delicious Balkan specialities, souvenir stalls and crafts shops. Follow the promenade west to find Rafailovici, a delightful fishing village with a selection of upmarket fish restaurants serving the freshest catch of the day.

And, with its Venetian fortress and terracotta topped dwellings, Petrovac is a delight to explore. Spend leisurely afternoons people-watching at streetside cafes or find a beachfront bar to enjoy cocktails at. For day trips head to historic Budva, with its Venetian old town and grand Citadel fortress. Aside from fine dining and plenty of shopping opportunities there’s a fascinating archaeology museum to explore. The old town of Budva itself is a must-see with an array of exclusive boutiques and jewellery shops lining the quaint narrow alleyways.
