Central Akumal is the most popular and lively section of beach, there you'll find shops, bars, restaurants, and beachside lodgings. Take refuge from the sweltering sun in the shade of a palm tree whilst you delight in the stunning scenic views of the Caribbean Sea. The North Akumal beach extends around Half Moon bay, and is closely situated to Yal-Ku Lagoon. Beneath the pristine blue water of North Akumal beach, you'll find a reef filled with rich vegetation and tropical fish, making it a fantastic place for underwater activities such as scuba-diving and snorkelling.

South Akumal beach, Jade Bay, and Akumal adventures all offer stunning beachside condos and villas, making it a lovely place for strolling and exploring. Whichever Akumal beach you decide to visit, they all have white sand, pristine blue water, and towering elegant palm trees.

Away from the lively buzz of the popular resorts, Playa Maroma is a quieter, more peaceful beach which is located 48 kilometres south of Cancun and slightly north of Playa del Carmen. With more than 500 acres of beach and a tropical rainforest beyond, the modern hotels that are built around the area respect and aid in reserving the beautiful landscape.
