Holiday Village Atlantica Rhodes

The magic of this trendy family hotel can be found in the pools – there are six of them! For the kids, there’s a big pool with a huge splash park, surrounded by a lazy river, with five further pools for everyone, one with a swim-up bar. The five restaurants provide plenty of choice, there’s a variety of sports courts, and even a mini-cinema. The beach is a short walk away, as are the bars and cafes of Kolymbia.

Rodos Star

Contemporary styling, a peaceful hillside location, and just a leisurely stroll from Afandou’s bars and tavernas. What’s not to like about this charming family-friendly hotel, set within wonderfully well-kept grounds. It’s 15 minutes to the beach, but with two lovely pools, buffet restaurant and poolside snack bar, there’s plenty on site, too. Dinner, drinks and live music are served al fresco, there’s a big-screen TV for sports, and the Afandou Golf Course is under two kilometres away.

Sun Palace Hotel

With an on-site water park, huge pool, lazy river and super-convenient location, it’s no surprise this hotel has received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. Aside from all the water-based fun, there’s a lovely a la carte restaurant, buffet option, poolside snacks and plenty of activities going on every day. Greek-themed nights and local musicians add to the authentic Rhodes experience. The beautiful sandy beach is a stroll away, as are Faliraki’s bars, shops and eateries.

Finas Hotel and Studios

This modern, stylish property enjoys an enviable hillside location, with epic views over the sea. It’s just 500m from the beach and a short drive, or glass-bottom-boat ride, from the pretty village of Lindos. Palm trees frame the pool and jacuzzi area, Italian, Greek and British cuisine are available in the restaurant. Evening fun includes quizzes, bingo and karaoke, but if you fancy dining or supping cocktails elsewhere, delightful Pefkos is only 10 minutes away on foot.

Pefki Islands Resort

This charming Greek-styled hotel sits just 500m from the beach and a five-minute walk from the lovely village of Pefkos. There are two pools, one of which is quieter and uber-relaxing. You can also use the three pools at the sister hotels next door, one of which has a swim-up bar. Dining options range from breakfast by the pool here or popping next door to enjoy their lovely poolside eatery, ideal for a relaxing dinner.

Atlantica Princess Hotel

This popular modern hotel has won Travellers’ Choice on TripAdvisor, largely because of its gargantuan pool, excellent beachfront location, and wide range of sports activities. These include aerobics, mini-football, table tennis, archery and boules. There’s plenty for the little ones to do too, from the kids’ club and playground, to a fun-filled splash pool with slides. Al fresco dining is a nice touch here, but it’s also just a brief stroll from the bars and eateries of Ialyssos.

Rhodos Horizon Resort

For adults only, this stylish, contemporary resort is in the perfect spot to explore the old town of Rhodes. There’s a sandy beach outside, three pools, and extraordinary ocean views. The breakfast is buffet-style, there’s show-cooking come the evening, and a poolside bar serving snacks all day. You can savour cocktails and enjoy live Greek entertainment at the bar, or if you fancy exploring the cobbled streets and tavernas of Rhodes Town, it’s only 15 minutes on foot.

Stella Aparthotel

Set in the heart of scenic Pefkos, and just a few steps from the beach, this laid-back Grecian hotel boasts a good-sized pool with its own bridge and water features. The apartments have their own kitchenettes, but if you don’t fancy cooking, light bites and snacks are available from the poolside restaurant and bar. There is light evening entertainment, but this place is really set up as a base for exploring the bars and eateries of charming Pefkos.

Akti Imperial

Newly revamped and close to the beach, this large, modern property has a mammoth seven pools and plenty more besides. There’s a looping lazy river roaming the grounds, seven dining spots providing a range of world cuisine along with four bars including late-night and poolside options. Live entertainment is on tap seven days a week, and there’s tennis, gym, sauna, basketball and beach volleyball, too. If all that’s not enough, Rhodes Town is five minutes away in a cab.
