Recently refurbished to give it a super-contemporary vibe, the Akti Imperial not only has seven restaurants and two lovely pools, but it’s also home to a lazy river, which roams through the grounds. There’s a bar near the river and three others around the property. If you need to work up a thirst before cocktail time, there are opportunities for sports activities, including tennis, beach volleyball, basketball, and a modern gym, too. The beautiful pebble beach is across the road and, when it’s time to see the best of the Old Town, jump in a cab and you’ll be there in five minutes.
Overview of Rhodes
Golden beaches as far as the eye can see, 300 days of warm sun per year, and rolling hills rising from the turquoise sea. What’s not to love about holidays to Rhodes? There’s ancient culture to take in, if that’s your thing, but if you’re just here to party, Faliraki brings the fun come nightfall. Rhodes Old Town is a big pull here, and it’s a beautiful place to explore. It’s also where you’ll find the Akti Imperial – a stylish, modern property by the beachfront, with lots to enjoy including its own lazy river.
Things to do in Rhodes Town
There’s plenty going on here to keep you busy, or not busy at all, depending on what you’re looking for. Elli Beach has a beautiful, golden stretch of sand, lined with great bars and eateries, and it has a host of water sports on offer. There’s also a floating diving platform, should you fancy plunging beneath the waves. The Old Town, home to the Akti Imperial, is a stunning historical area with gorgeous old buildings, restaurants, shops and bars, while Savas Rhodes Gallery is the ideal spot to pick up one-of-a-kind local artwork and handmade ornaments. In essence, Rhodes has a little something for everyone, with as close to guaranteed sunshine as you’ll find anywhere on the Med. The sea is warm, the welcome is friendly, and the magnificent architecture is nicely complemented by a wide range of activities, beaches, bars and eateries.
