Cheap days out in Croatia
Korcula, a Croatian island right off the mainland, is drenched in history with fantastic medieval towers and a 14th-century cathedral to venture through.
Holidays here are all about the sights and landmarks, like visiting the house that is said to have belonged to Marco Polo or wandering through Old Town’s quaint shops and cafes.
Korcula’s neighbour island, Hvar, also has excellent budget days out, like spending time at their yearly summer festival where you can watch Croatian and international artists perform concerts as well as theatrical productions.
For a relaxed beach vibe head to Vrsar where you can enjoy your holiday relaxing on their numerous Blue Flag-winning coastlines, with plenty of facilities and sunbathing platforms. Days out to the beach won’t cost you a thing, apart from the odd ice cream or cold drink to help you cool down in the Croatian heat.
