One of the most stunning resorts on the southwest coast of turkey, Olu Deniz remains to be one of most photographed resorts in the Mediterranean; it has a secluded blue flag sandy bay which edges the famous blue lagoon. The lagoon is a national nature reserve, famous for its turquoise and aquamarine waters backed by the lush green mountains.
Olu Deniz is reputedly the best site in Europe, if not the world, to fly pargliders cross-country in both solo and tandem modes. There are many other attractions holidays to Olu Deniz has to offer like St Nicholas Island and the picturesque butterfly valley, Saklikent is the second longest gorge in Europe. Olu Deniz has a unique style when it comes to night life! Most of the bars lined up right along the promenade so they are overlooking to beach. This beach culture brought up the "beach bar" culture, relaxed, easy-going and fun!
There are restaurants to suit everyone`s taste. The standard is excellent and you really are spoilt for choice and if you do get bored from the Turkish cuisine, then there are plenty of restaurants to choose from that serve international cuisine. There isn’t a big club culture in Olu Deniz but the vibrant nightlife is steadily growing. The resorts of Hissaronu and Fethiye are close by and easily reached by the local dolmus for an alternative evening. A trip to the weekly market in Fethiye is a must were it is customary to barter, leather goods and clothing are a firm favourite with holidaymakers.
