If you’re looking for an elevated bar, Bangkok is the place to be. As the sky bar capital of the world, this city has plenty to choose from. But our pick has to be Sky Bar at Lebua Hotel. Suspended 63 floors up, this hangout will take your drinking experience to new heights with its spectacular views, colour-changing bar and open-air seating.

And if you think this hotel looks familiar, that’s because it is. In fact, Lebua Hotel was one of the shooting locations for the hit film, The Hangover Part II.

Kosybar – Marrakech, Morocco

In true Moroccan style, Kosybar offers a homely and relaxing atmosphere. With its low-slung sofas and warm decor, this is the best place to chill out after a day spent wandering the Medina’s busy souks. Uptown Bar at Jumeirah Beach Hotel – Dubai

Being afraid of heights isn’t an option in Dubai. This sky scraper-lined horizon has some of the swankiest raised bars you’ll ever set foot in. Elevated 24 floors up in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel is Uptown Bar. This surreal setting overlooks Burj Al Arab and the city’s magical skyline. Not a bad view, right?

AVA lounge bar – New York
