Marella Cruises – See what’s new for Winter 2019!

As if making their cruises all inclusive as standard wasn’t great enough, Marella Cruises have some more exciting news for winter 2019. They’re offering brand-new itineraries, six new ports of call and are bringing back some of their favourite ports. Plus the Marella Explorer 2 has a special announcement.  Ready, set, sail!

New Itineraries

Bringing even more to the table, Marella Cruises have 3 additional itineraries with each and every one offering something totally different. Whether its beaches or lakes, jungles or ancient ruins, they’ve covered it all.


Panama Canal Experience

Start your cruise of a lifetime with a rum cocktail or two at Jamaica’s bubbly Montego Bay before setting sail on the Marella Discovery 2 to some of the world’s most exotic destinations. We’re talking lapping up Latin America’s natural beauty in Costa Rica, taking Instagrammable snaps in rainbow-coloured Cartagena and sailing up the Panama Canal. If that wasn’t enough, Pirates of the Caribbean fans can get ready as you’ll get to explore the films Jamaican backdrop- Port Royal.

Port Royal, Jamaica

After pirates once dropped their anchor there, Port Royal was dubbed the wickedest city on earth. As one of the newest ports of call you can now explore Jamaica’s oldest and most famous historical region.


Nordfjord, Norway

Sitting at the end of a 15- kilometre long fjord surrounded by towering mountains from north to south, the village of Nordfjord offers breath-taking views you’ll certainly want your camera for.


Samana, Domincan Republic

A rustic town with lots of traditional charm, Samana offers bright coloured colonial-style houses and pretty public gardens. Not only that, its beaches, rain forests and waterfalls make it a place of natural beauty.


Visby, Sweden

A medieval delight- Visby is a UNESCO protected town on the Swedish island of Gotland. Rich in historical character, it’s one of Sweden’s most photogenic destinations. A must see are the cities beautiful Botanical Gardens.


Gatun Lake, Panama

A godsend for ships when it opened in the early 20th century- the Panama Canal is one of the most strategic waterways in the world. With a stop at Gatun Lake,  the doors will open to scenic day trips and city sightseeing.


Sarande, Albania

Return to Limassol

Along with their additions, Marella Cruises will also be returning to some of their golden oldies including Alexandria in Egypt and Casablanca in Morocco. Look out for Limassol too- Cyprus’s historical city and soon to be the new home for the Marella Dream in 2019.  



Marella Explorer 2- First full winter season

The Marella Explorer 2 will be spending its first full winter season in Bridgetown, Barbados. Look forward to 3 itineraries with destinations like St Lucia, Aruba and Grenada on the cards.
