A guide to nightlife in Dalaman Region

After-hours fun in the Dalaman region covers all of your party bases, complete with waterfront cocktail spots, British pubs and all-out dance clubs. Marmaris is the region’s nightlife hub, with an entire street devoted to the best bars and clubs, while Hisaronu and Kalkan aren’t far behind.

Most places will keep you going into the wee hours of the morning, though you’ll also find serene drinking spots that are worth visiting on your Dalaman holiday just for the gorgeous sunset views they serve up.

Open-air parties at Backstreet, Marmaris

The largest open-air club on Marmaris’ Bar Street, Backstreet comes ready with plenty of tables and chairs to relax in and a huge dance floor to get you on your feet. There’s a terrace for crowd-watching, but downstairs – with ample neon-lighting and live DJ sets – is where the real energy is at.

Hangout on the rooftop at The Fountain, Kalkan

Stashed away on a quiet rooftop terrace, The Fountain bar comes with an actual fountain – a neon-lit one, to be exact. With views out to sea, plush sofas fit for snoozing and more cocktails than you can shake a sparkler at – yes, the sparklers have been known to come out once night falls – this cosy bar is where those easy-going holidaymakers love to settle in.

Dance on the bar to your favourite stars at Harmony Bar, Hisaronu

There isn’t any age requirements when it comes to enjoying yourself at the Harmony Bar – everybody here has a good time. Tribute nights and karaoke are a regular thing, as are DJ sets by the house MC. Dancing on the bar is always encouraged as well.

Located just along the seafront, this outdoor bar packs just as much punch as its clubby counterparts on Bar Street. The cocktails are enough to draw you in, but it’s the entertainment that’s second to none. You’ll find everything from karaoke, fire shows and Turkish dancing.

A night of neon at Help Beach Bar, Olu Deniz

In the day, the Help Beach Bar is the spot for relaxing with a cool drink and full English breakfast just beside the sand. But by night, as the neon lights light up, so does the energy. Live entertainment whisks in, along with sunset-coloured cocktails and impressive beach views.

Sip Zen cocktails at Botanik Garden Bar, Kalkan

There’s a reason ‘garden’ is in the title of this outdoor bar – it’s an Eden of sorts, hidden underneath the shade and lined with stone buildings. Here, you can snag a fruit-heavy cocktail and laze in hammocks and bean bags, watch the sunset from the tree house or lounge beneath the lantern-lit trees.

World-famous raves at Pacha Marmaris, Marmaris

The Pacha brand is famous for hosting some seriously amazing parties the world over. This branch, located in Turkey’s party zone, is no different. At this Pacha, you’ll get down to themed nights and live performances, not to mention cocktails that are big enough to share, but delicious enough to keep all to yourself.

Okay, so anything with the word ‘cemetery’ in the title might be a little off-putting, but don’t let this one fool you. The Car Cemetery Bar is a neon-lit graveyard for cars, complete with live entertainment and a ceiling peppered with umbrellas. License plates and car parts deck the walls while shisha pipes and peach mojitos sit on your tables.

Family-friendly nights at Summer Jam, Hisaronu

Forget summer dreams – Summer Jam is where it’s at. The staff here regularly stage tribute nights, dancing to Michael Jackson and Queen tunes, while karaoke sessions encourage holidaymakers to provide the entertainment. There are pool tables, a long cocktail list and ice-cold beers. If you’re travelling with kids, you won’t have to worry – Summer Jam is known for being family-friendly, perfect for children on cheap holidays to the Dalaman region.

Dance or relax at Mojito Lounge Club, Kalkan

Another of Kalkan’s huge, neon-infused clubs, the Mojito Lounge Club brings the heat with sparklers and a cosy dance floor, then cools it off with plenty of indoor lounge space. It’s in the name, after all – and premium brand cocktails. A drink speciality here is the fish bowl cocktail, though the bar’s delicious twists on classic mojitos are a must.
