A guide to the best restaurants in Belek

In Belek, as well as serving Turkish food using fresh produce from the land and the sea, the restaurants often dish up international meals. Here, you’ll find everything from Greek influences like kebabs, to pastas and pizza, and fillet steaks. Fruit is popular for dessert, and baklava here is worth a try as it’s even more delicious than at home – as is the Turkish delight, which is called Lokum. Don’t forget to try the famous local tipple on your Turkey holidays, Raki, which is similar to Ouzo.

A real taste of Turkey at Cafe Istanbul

This nice-looking restaurant feels cosy and isn’t far from the sea. It offers a selection of international and Turkish food, but with a twist. Try the Ottoman Casserole with lamb and vegetables. The fruit platters are sublime, as is the homemade tiramisu.

British food and Karaoke nights at Gardner's Wine Bar

Not only does Gardner’s serve traditional British food, such as sausage, egg and chips with a pint of Guinness, but they also have the all-important multi-screen sports options and pool table. Karaoke and quiz nights are popular, too.

A beautiful location at Simply Beach Caddie Restaurant

Located on the sandy beach and shaded by pine trees, this is a smart/casual restaurant located in an idyllic spot. As well as local dishes, there’s Italian and British cuisine. Cheap holidays to Turkey are about a little indulgence, so try the unusual fried ice cream for dessert.

Delicious steaks and fish at Deniz Restaurant

The steak and fish dishes such as fresh lobster and swordfish, are divine at Deniz, and are popular dishes with many local chefs. The mezzes are generous and include deep-fat fried liver, and veggie cucumber yoghurt with herbs. The sunsets from this beach restaurant are lovely.

All the favourite Indian dishes at Spice Garden

This family-run Indian restaurant is authentic, making fantastic curries whether you like them hot, medium or mild. As well as the delicious food, there’s a fantastic outdoor space to enjoy your meal in.

Get the pool cue out at Players' Lounge

If you’re after a pub atmosphere with nice decor and genuine pub grub, such as steak and onion pies, burgers and fantastic homemade chips, you’ll find it at Players’ Lounge. Also on the menu are a selection of beers and cocktails. And, of course, they offer a pool table and dartboards.

Lunch as the Italians do at Pinokyo

Set along Kadriye Beach, this is the standout Italian restaurant in the area. Diners do as the Italians do by enjoying extended lunches over their wine, fantastic pasta dishes and homemade desserts in the lovely garden patio.

A nice atmosphere at Chill Out Restaurant & Cafe Bar

Open from breakfast until dinner, this is a nice, colourful restaurant and bar to watch the world go by. The wooden tables outside are nicely laid, and it’s up to you, whether you just fancy a beer or want to try their renowned T-bone steak.

Open all day at Roman Bar

Just outside Belek in the village of Kadriye, this bar is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s worth a mention as a popular venue and the mezzes, tenderloin steaks, and mixed grills are excellent. As is the case with many of the restaurants in the area, the owner speaks good English to help you along.

Fine French dining at Basilica

This is an elegant and intimate restaurant with an a la carte menu, that’s accessed by walking through the grounds of Gloria Verde Resort. The interior is very atmospheric and nearly entirely lit by candlelight with murals on the ceiling and wine bottles set against the walls.
