Caribe Hotel

With free entry into PortAventura Park, two huge outdoor pools and a man-made beach, the Caribe Hotel is great fun for all the family.

With five restaurants on-site, there are lots of spots for the family to catch-up on the events of the day, too. The main buffet restaurant is usually the place to be. There are seats inside and out, plus a great view over the lake.

In the evening, the mini disco is perfect for the kids, and the bar is great for drinking and dancing the night away.

If you fancy a break jam-packed with sun, sea and sand, then a holiday to Costa Dorada is exactly what you’re looking for.

Popular with families and thrill seekers, PortAventura is home to Spain’s largest theme park and provides fun-filled days out for the whole family – and the Caribe Hotel even offers theme-park access.

Whether you’re seven or seventy, PortAventura has something for you. Days here are all about action and activities, but between the hair-raising rides and adrenaline-pumping water parks, you’ll find glorious beaches and constant sunshine.

Things to do in PortAventura

As well as its wide range of family-friendly activities, the Caribe Hotel also puts guests in the perfect position to explore PortAventura. It’s a 15-minute walk to PortAventura Park, Ferrari Land and PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park, so you can visit a different one each day.

If you’re looking to go on a day trip away from PortAventura, the train station is only a five-minute walk away. A mainline destination, from here you can reach a number of major Spanish cities. Closer to home, Salou is only 1.3 kilometres away, loaded with culture and history, and has some top-class restaurants, too.

After a stay in PortAventura, the whole family will leave happy. While the kids play, adults can relax and soak up the sun. Perfect.

Resort Summary

The biggest attraction – literally – is Shambhala: Expedicion al Himalaya, known simply as Shambhala by the locals. This is the tallest and fastest hyper coaster in all of Europe and it can be seen for miles. There’s also the Dragon Khan rollercoaster with its eight exhilarating inversions and the massive Costa Caribe water park right at the heart of the theme park. During July and August you can enjoy the Fiesta Aventura. The park celebrates with nightly shows of fireworks, floats, parades and fountains, all in time to music.

The theme park is divided into five distinct areas themed around the civilisations of the world, each with its own distinct rides, shows, shops and eateries. Read on to learn more about each one.
