A guide to nightlife in Montechoro

Holidays to Portugal are all about letting loose, and Montechoro – which lies on the edges of Albufeira town – is a hugely popular destination for the clubbing and partying crowd. Most of the bar and club action happens along a single street known as The Strip. Whether you’re on a hen or stag holiday, out as a couple, or with a group of mates, with our great range of cheap holidays to the Algarve you’ll find the perfect place to have a fun night out. Take a look below for our top recommendations.

Late night dancing at Kiss Club

This is one of the biggest nightclubs in the area with a big main dancefloor and funky podium dancers. It has a terrace upstairs overlooking the floor, so you can watch what’s going on. There are several bars dotted around the venue, meaning you shouldn’t have to travel too far to get in the next round of drinks. It doesn’t open until 2am, so you’ve got plenty of time to warm up before the party starts.

Happiness all around at Wild and Company

Wild and Company is great fun, featuring a mix between an Irish pub and an American saloon. Their mission is to ‘contaminate you with cheerfulness’ via their live music and themed parties. From 1am the dancefloor opens up, the great tunes start playing and you can boogie the night away.

Sophistication and glamour at Libertos Club

This is a sophisticated club with a big splash of style and glamour. DJs keep the music pumping with the latest tunes and anthems. The decor is a mix of eastern-inspired styles, with Buddhas, goddesses and ancient symbols. You can lose yourself in the atmosphere here for a great night out.

Get on board at Blue Bell Bar

A really nice place to enjoy a few drinks before dinner, or before you go out clubbing, Blue Bell is a charming little pub which is shaped just like a ship. You can go upstairs or cool down outside on the open terrace.

Sports and spirits at Augusto's Sports Bar and Restaurante

At Augusto’s you can have a bite to eat and a few drinks before you head out for your late night partying. Or, you can just stay here for the evening and soak in the chilled out atmosphere. Start out with dinner in the restaurant upstairs and then venture downstairs for some drinks while watching the latest live sports.

Friendly crowds at Sir Harry's

This is a brilliant bar, at the old town end of The Strip on the main square. Try out their cocktails and take advantage of free Wi-Fi to post your latest photos. Friendly staff and a great crowd make for good times.

Quiz nights and pool at Blues Bar

A lively, friendly bar which shows all major sporting events on four giant screens, Blue Bar has pool tables and quiz nights four times a week. With a large outdoor terrace, drink specials all night long, and music from the 60s to the latest tunes, you can have fun and party into the night.

Hold on tight at Matt's Bar

Right on The Strip, Matt’s Bar has a fun, lively atmosphere and if you’re feeling particularly adventurous you can try your luck on their bucking bronco. This quirky bar boasts good music and pool tables to keep you entertained.

Arabian Nights at Casa do Cerro

This is a hidden gem located at the top a long flight of steps. Casa do Cerro has a cosy Arabian Nights feel to it, and always attracts a friendly crowd. They even play some great tunes that will have you dancing the night away.

Bring your dancing shoes to La Bamba Bar

This is a large, lively venue where a mix of the latest music and club anthems keep spirits high. Go to La Bamba for a fun, wild night out. It has reasonably priced drinks with a great cocktail menu and food available too.
