In less than four hours you’ll land in Agadir to enjoy its nine-kilometre Blue Flag sandy beach.

Cheap days out in Agadir

Agadir is a modern city with contemporary architecture and elegant piazzas. The tourist centre is small and can be easily explored on foot. No visit to Agadir would be complete without a visit to the ancient ruins of the 16th-century Kasbah or fortress. Situated on the brow of the hill near the port, this is a perfect spot to enjoy the stunning backdrop of the Atlas Mountains on one side and the city and ocean on the other.

Another must is exploring Agadir’s El Had d’Agadir souk – a huge covered market selling fruit and veg, spices and authentic Moroccan wares where you can experience the buzz and smells of the souk and haggle over prices. Other options for things to do cover casinos, traditional Hammam spas and golf courses.

Crocoparc, on the outskirts of Agadir, is a conservation scheme where you can get up close to crocodiles of all sizes, as well as learning more about them and watching feeding time. It costs 70 Dirham per adult to get in, which is only around £5. But for free, head inland to Paradise Valley, a palm-lined gorge that forms the start of mountain trails to Berber villages, or visit the Souss Massa National Park, Morocco’s largest bird reserve, located south of Agadir.
