Mara Studios and Apartments

The Mara Studios and Apartments is spread across two grand buildings nestled on the edge of Parga Town. Outside, there’s a little S-shaped pool and guests are welcome at the Alfa Hotel restaurant next door.

The pool is a great place to catch some rays as it’s flanked by a sun terrace that’s dotted with loungers. For a change of scenery, the hotel next door also has a pool you can use. It even comes with its own bar. For evening meals, the tavernas of Parga Town are just a 10-minute walk away.

Overview of Parga Town

Parga is a popular summer holiday spot with locals and tourists alike. It occupies an isolated position in a bay on the Ionian Sea, but the Mara Studios and Apartments is also incredibly popular with explorers. This is because it’s easy to reach other places in western Greece, such as Sivota and Preveza.

On your holiday to Parga, you’ll experience the local way of life. Days in Parga are incredibly slow-paced, but after sunset, there are plenty of spots where you can enjoy a drink and a dance.

Things to do in Parga

The Mara Studios and Apartments is in a really quiet spot, but a five-minute walk gets you to the sand-and-shingle Piso Krioneri Beach. Walk a little further and you’ll get to the bars, tavernas and shops in Parga’s old town and harbour.

The sands at Piso Krioneri Beach are protected from the wind by a hill named after the little church that sits on its top. You can take a stroll on a flower-lined path to reach the peak and you’ll receive incredible views when you get there.

By the harbour, the restaurants provide guests with panoramic views over the horizon. After, head back to the town centre and enjoy the surprisingly lively nightlife.

The go-slow destination of Parga is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday in the sunshine.

Resort Summary

You’ll find several fabulous beaches that are well worth a visit during Parga holidays. Consider heading to Valtos, which is two kilometres from Parga, where a long, fine sand and pebbled beach is surrounded by lush greenery. The most popular beach besides Valtos is Lichnos, another large bay with facilities fit for tourists.

Town Beach is just a walking distance from the town centre. Like the previous two, it is organized with chairs and umbrellas. The small size of the islet makes for a picturesque setting. The houses in Parga are constructed along the slopes of a mountain, in such a way that you can get good views of the sea.

The beautiful ruins of a Venetian castle can be seen at the top of a hill above the town of Parga, and a green islet with a white church stands at the mouth of the port. The amazing clear water on beaches makes them ripe for envy-inducing holiday snaps.
