Dream Apartments

The aptly named Dream Apartments, found up in the hills of Crete, offer delightful simplicity and excellent value for money for when you’d rather be out and about exploring. That said, the complex still has facilities in place that guarantee guest comfort and satisfaction.

A generous pool, unfussy but well-equipped studios, a pool bar that serves snacks and a convenient yet quiet location all make the apartments excellent for those of you who enjoy comfort when you need it, but also the motivation to leave hotel grounds. The apartments here prove that basic doesn’t have to mean boring.

Overview of Koutouloufari

Holidays to Crete guarantee amazing beach life, fabulous scenery, great food and a huge dose of history, all on top of gorgeous weather and every individual region has something special to offer. Koutouloufari is no exception.

A picturesque and traditional village, Koutouloufari is set up on a hill, far enough away from all of the lively spots to remain tranquil but not so far as to mean you can’t get in on the action, if you want to get your dancing shoes on. Drinks on the patio, days spent on the beach and leisurely meals are the order of the day here, with the Dream Apartments adding to the beautifully languid pace of life.

Things to do in Koutouloufari

A short walk from the front door of the Dream Apartments will get you into the centre of Koutouloufari and into the thick of the laid-back island-life action.

Take the time to walk through the cobbled streets and you’ll come upon the main square, where café culture rules dictate that it’s only polite to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine and some people-watching. This can easily turn into a relaxed dinner that stretches out into the evening, but don’t forget to check out the beaches.

Though Koutouloufari doesn’t have its own beach, there are three at Hersonissos that are just a 20-minute walk away and within easy reach of a fun waterpark. A day trip here wouldn’t be complete without a look at some of the shops, too.

The ideal combination of traditional island life and welcoming tourism, Koutouloufari is a perfect example of why holidays to the Greek islands have become so popular.

Resort Summary

Even though Koutouloufari is within eyesight of some of the busiest resorts on the island of Crete, the town still manages to retain its peaceful atmosphere. Once you cross back into its borders, you’re a lifetime away from the hustle and bustle of downtown island life.

Koutouloufari is unmistakably a traditional Greek village, with cobbled streets and stone houses that are lined with colourful flowers – it’s the stuff laid-back holidays are made of.

Days here are filled with glasses of wine along patios on the main square and delicious Greek flavours at local tavernas. The beaches and water parks of Hersonissos and the epic nightlife at Malia are within your grasp, so you’ll have no trouble dialling up the energy when the mood strikes.
