The island's capital Corfu Town and the nearby Airport are about 30 miles southeast of San Stefanos. Corfu Town has a superb cosmopolitan atmosphere and some beautiful Venetian architecture. There are also a vast number of bars and nightclubs to enjoy in the capital. Paleokastritsa, a resort just along the coast from San Stefanos, is renowned for its magnificent scenery.
