Enjoy International Cuisine And Traditional Canary Island Dishes…
The beach is where many people spend their daytimes on Los Cristianos holidays. You can take advantage of the superb year round sunshine of the Canary Islands or take a dip in the Sea. Los Cristianos is relatively quiet in comparison to its neighbour Las Americas, but a selection of good bars and restaurants provide a decent evening's entertainment. Alternative daytime activities include whale watching excursions, day trips up to the top of the enormous Mount Teide volcano and enjoying a bit of tax-free shopping. Children will enjoy the nearby Octopus water slide park, which will often lay on a free bus to get you there.
The food you'll find on Los Cristianos holidays, like many of the resorts in the area, features a variety of different international cuisines such as Italian and Chinese, alongside the traditional English breakfasts and fast food outlets. There are also some decent traditional Spanish dishes available in some restaurants if you like to taste the local fare and some places sell Canarian specialities that have a hint of spicy North African flavour. Transport around Los Cristianos is quite a simple matter with regular buses heading in and out of the neighbouring resort of Las Americas and plenty of taxis running around. A walk to Las Americas will take about 25 minutes from Los Cristianos. The journey from the Airport to the east of Los Cristianos should usually only take about 15 to 20 minutes by car or a little longer by coach, and there are plenty of taxis available outside the terminal buildings.
