Ready to dive in and take a look at what we love the most about each spot?

Ramada Plaza Resort and Suites, Florida

Ramada Plaza Resort and Suites is in a prime location! It boasts a beautiful lakefront plot just off International Drive which is a perfect hub for shopping and dining. The hotel also has a free shuttle bus to the theme parks, Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, which are of course one of the main attractions when visiting Florida.

Though we’re quite sure you won’t be spending too much time in the hotel as there’s so much exploring to be done, this place has all of the home comforts you’ll need. All rooms have air-conditioning, a TV and Wi-Fi. There’s also a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. You can opt for a suite if you’re after more space or in a larger group.

Activity wise, there’s a games room complete with video consoles and games. You’ve also got the Magical Midway arcade and park a few doors down. The main pool has an impressive lakefront view. It’s flanked by terracotta-coloured loungers and a hot-tub. There’s also a rooftop pool area for Club guests.

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that’s especially true when you’ve got a day of exploring theme parks planned. You can fuel up for the parks with bagels, pastries and muffins, courtesy of the hotel’s free buffet breakfast. If you’re feeling peckish during the day, there’s also a bar serving up light bites. If you’re not eating your evening meal in one of the parks after a full day of whizzing on rides, then the restaurants and bars of action-packed International Drive are a couple of minutes’ walk away. Plus, there’s even an all-you-can-eat lobster place next door.

Iberostar Tainos, Cuba

Iberostar Tainos is in a picture-perfect Caribbean village, with shimmering white sands and vibrant green palm trees – a true paradise. The hotel has secured a spot by the sand on Varadero’s strip. It’s also just five minutes’ drive to Varahicacos Ecological Reserve, where you’ve got nature trails and a cave full of pre-Colombian paintings.

You won’t be short of places to relax here, but when you want to rest your head, your cosy room will be waiting for you. All bungalows and double rooms come with air-conditioning, tea or coffee-making facilities – upon request, a safe, hairdryer, plus minibar stocked with water only. Bungalows have a terrace, meanwhile double rooms have a balcony.

There’s plenty of activities and entertainment to keep the whole family busy at Iberostar Tainos! Daytime activities include the likes of darts and basketball. On the beach, meanwhile, the agenda revolves around watersports and volleyball. Iberostar hotels have a tried and tested kids’ club concept – Star Camp – which you can find here, too. It’s split into two groups, so everyone from 4 to 12-year-olds are covered. Expect the likes of cooking, art and science experiments!

Food supply can be limited in Cuba, but hotel chefs are skilled in making the most of what’s available each day. At the buffet restaurant, you can expect meat and fish options, alongside some authentically Cuban side dishes. It even puts on a late-night spread for night owls. There’s also a Japanese restaurant with a teppanyaki table, as well as a thatched-roof grill place that serves up local specialties.

RIU Lupita Hotel, Mexico

The RIU Lupita Hotel is the perfect place for a tranquil Mexican retreat. The hotel is surrounded by tropical gardens, and there’s a free five-minute shuttle bus to the sandy beach. Plus, it’s just a 15 minutes’ walk to the shops along 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen. RIU Lupita Hotel is set in a peaceful corner of Playacar’s golf course, which is great if you want to work on your birdie.

Of course, throughout the hotel there’s plenty of bars where you can grab your favourite tipple, but in your hotel room, you have your very own drinks optic – meaning you’ll have your very own locally-branded spirits on tap in your room. Perfect for enjoying a drink while getting ready for the evening! Your room will also have Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a minibar and a hairdryer.

Entertainment wise, you won’t be disappointed! There’s a hard-surface tennis court with floodlights. Plus there are multi-purpose courts and a beach volleyball court. The hotel also puts on watersports at the beach, including kayaking. Guests can improve their dancing with lessons from the pros. And for children, there’s a playground and a hotel-run kids’ club that puts on daytime activities. Live shows are put on most evenings too, and there’s even a Pacha nightclub, which is open five nights a week!

Four restaurants make up the dining scene. The main buffet place has breakfasts in the mornings and theme nights three times a week. Or you could try local dishes at the Mexican à la carte. Down on the beach, the hotel has its own steakhouse. Regular shuttle buses go down there and take about 5 minutes.

Bahia Principe Grand La Romana, Dominican Republic

Bahia Principe Grand La Romana enjoys a beachfront location on Montero beach, which is located between Santo Domingo and La Romana. The huge pool is the standout feature here though! It’s accessorised with palm-topped islands and whirlpools, and a bar is sunk into the water. Kids get a splash zone to themselves, too.

Ultimate relaxation is on offer here – there’s a fantastic spa offering treatments using local ingredients like honey, coconut and chocolate, and there’s even beachfront massages up for grabs! You’ll find peace and tranquillity in your room too. These rooms come complete with air-conditioning, balcony or terrace, plus a King-size bed or two full size beds. Junior suites are available with garden views, too.

Look out for the daytime activities timetable, which lets you get stuck into games of ping pong and water polo. Of course, thanks to the beachfront spot, there’s also lots of watersports up for grabs. In the evenings, why not grab a seat around the amphitheatre to catch merengue dancers and live singers, or dance until the early hours in the disco. If you’d rather have a quiet one, there’s a bar in the lobby.

You can stack your plates up with dishes from the international buffet restaurant. For a change from the norm, go à la carte – you’ve got an Italian, a Mediterranean place, and a gourmet eatery to pick from. Three à la carte meals a week are included as part of your All Inclusive package.
