Beach View Hotel

 

 

Beach View Hotel is a family run hotel nestled on five acres of landscaped gardens, just across the road from the stunning turquoise waters of Paynes Bay. Enjoying a prime location on the famed West Coast of Barbados, Beach View is just 15 minutes from the capital city of Bridgetown and 5 minutes from exciting Holetown which offers a selection of restaurants, nightlife and shops.

 

If you’re a water baby, you’ll be pleased to know there are four pools to choose from here. There’s also a nice, shallow children’s pool if you’re travelling as a family! There’s also a delicious poolside café and bar, which serves breakfast, lunch & dinner every day, with specialty nights.

 

When staying here, you can enjoy a spacious and open plan suite. One, two and three bedroom suites are available depending on how many people you’re travelling with. All suites are kitted out with full kitchens, which may come in useful depending on which board basis you pick at the hotel. There are also a selection of fully-equipped luxury suites, two-storey garden villas and well-appointed hotel rooms.

 

Infinity On The Beach

 

 

As the name suggests, Infinity On The Beach has a beautiful beachfront location. This hotel has an 800-metre-long sweep of chalk-white beach right outside, which lines up gently shelving sand, calm shallows and watersports. For nights out, there’s plenty of lively bars next door to the hotel. Plus, the bustling restaurants and rum shacks of St Lawrence Gap are just a five-minute stroll away. If you fancy exploring a little further afield, Bridgetown’s a 15-minute drive away.

 

Two small pools share the limelight here. They’re edged with loungers and parasols, plus there’s a poolside bar where you can grab snacks and drinks. If you want to save space in your case, the hotel also provides pool towels – just pay a refundable deposit of $10 USD and you’ll be able to use them, and get your deposit back when you return the towel as you’re leaving. 

 

In the evenings, the hotel puts on occasional live music performances to listen to over a cocktail. Back at your room you can enjoy air-conditioning, a mini-fridge, TV, audio dock, and tea or coffee-making facilities. You’ll also have a balcony or terrace for some extra outdoor space.

 

Coconut Court Beach Hotel

 

 

If location is super important to you when it comes to your hotel hunting, Coconut Court Beach Hotel will tick all of your boxes. Not only does it have its own slice of Barbados’ beautiful sands right outside, you’ve also got a World Heritage Site on your doorstep – the stunning area of Bridgetown. 

 

The pool sits in a terrace that’s lined with sunbeds and parasols. It’s just a few steps away from the beach, which has a sheltered lagoon that’s great for snorkeling. If you feel peckish mid-swim, there’s Cocos Beachside Restaurant & Bar nearby. Live music is sometimes played on the pool deck bandstand, too.

 

All rooms here have a private balcony, Wi-Fi, a TV, audio dock, microwave, a fridge, kettle and toaster. Double rooms have a partial sea view, while oceanfront superior and oceanfront deluxe rooms have a full sea view. The oceanfront deluxe rooms also include a few extras like a smart TV, USB ports and a rain shower, too.

 

The Abidah Hotel

 

 

The Abidah Hotel ticks the boxes for peaceful, adults-only getaways with a touch of luxe. It’s a couple of minutes’ walk from a beach, you don’t need to sweat about having to walk back to base for cocktails though – there’s a waiter service on hand on the beach, so you can order drinks to be delivered directly to your lounger!

 

Back at the hotel, waiter service continues around the pool, which is lined with sunbeds and umbrellas. The Remous Restaurant and Lounge takes charge on the food front, throwing regular themed nights at dinner. There’s afternoon tea laid out daily, as well. You can also dine at the sister hotel, the Accra Beach Hotel & Spa. It’s a 15-minute taxi ride away, and it opens the doors to four more restaurants, including an ocean-front spot that serves authentic Indian cuisine.

 

All rooms here have a private whirlpool bath ,with either a balcony or terrace. They are fully air-conditioned and come with Wi-Fi, a TV, tea or coffee-making facilities and a safety deposit box. When it comes to beds, you’ll either have a king-size bed or two doubles, except the Oceanfront rooms which will only feature a king-size. Premium rooms also come with a sea view.

 

The Club Barbados Resort and Spa

 

 

The Club Barbados Resort and Spa is another fantastic adults only spot. The hotel has its own compact beach and sunbathing deck and next door, you’ll find Simon Cowell’s favourite spot, Sandy Lane! There’s the full watersports menu, including sailing, kayaking and reef fishing. You can also borrow free snorkelling gear and explore the nearby sunken barge that’s in a protected marine reserve.

 

Palm trees surround the freshwater swimming pool – it’s split across three levels and connected by trickling waterfalls. There’s also a whirlpool bath a few steps away. You don’t have to travel far from the pools for drinks and snacks – it’s just a few steps to the Sunset Lounge where you can get wines, beers and cocktails.

 

Rooms at this place all look out over the gardens, pool or sea, so you can be sure to have a great view no matter which room you stay in. There are double rooms with a sea or garden view – the latter can be upgraded to a superior with a balcony or terrace, too. Meanwhile, superior and beachfront suites both have a balcony.
