Want to get the whole family together for a city break to remember? From bustling markets and world-famous landmarks to natural wonders and even the Northern Lights, we’ve pulled together some of our very favourite spots for city breaks packed to the brim with family fun…

New York, USA

The Big Apple is an absolute spectacle no matter how young or old you are! It’s one of the most famous cities in the world, with so much to do and see. You could spend your days browsing fascinating museums, meandering around Central Park, sailing over to the Statue of Liberty or being elevated to the top of the Empire State Building. By night, the city lights up and you can see iconic sights such as Times Square or you could even head to Broadway to catch a show the whole family will enjoy (did someone say Disney musicals?!). The adventure never ends!

Lapland

Lapland might not quite be a city but it’s certainly a worth-while trip with kids – full of magic, wonder and excitement! Many families holiday to Lapland because it’s safe, clean and has plenty of outdoor activities and attractions that will create lasting memories. In one day you could spend the morning visiting Santa and meeting his helpful elves, and the next you could be venturing out into the snow, exploring on a husky sled or snowmobile, or building snowmen. Expect once-in-a-lifetime experiences and magical memories to treasure forever!

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Our next city break destination couldn’t be more contrasting to the chills of Iceland. Heat things up and explore the lavish city of Dubai with all the family. Aside from marvelling at the breath-taking Burj Khalifa and the dancing Dubai Fountain, you can have days out at the Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark, hit the beach, visit an aquarium or have some fun at a theme park (there’s even a Legoland in Dubai!). With so much more for families than first meets the eye, Dubai is a perfect place to enjoy a break with your loved ones.

Barcelona, Spain

Moving along to one of the most colourful and lively cities in the world – say hello to beautiful Barcelona! Some of our favourite pastimes for families include visiting the fabulous Parc Guell, going to the zoo, wandering the Gothic Quarter, visiting the Magic Fountain at Montjuic and going for a tour of Europe’s largest football stadium (with the fourth largest capacity in the world!), Camp Nou. One thing’s for sure – you’ll never be bored in Barcelona.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik offers a sizzling city break that also has many elements of your favourite beach holidays. It’s steeped in history and drenched in elegance, with a fabulous selection of restaurants and gorgeous waterside views. When it comes to keeping the kids entertained, you could explore the wondrous Old Town, take a boat ride out to Lokrum Island, catch a cable car for sky-high panoramic views or visit various famous filming spots from Game of Thrones. Your trip can be as chilled or as action-packed as you’d like in captivating Croatia!
