Some of its main talking points include eight eateries, eight bars and a high-tech spa. The stunning sea-view pool’s over 600 feet long and is split into three sections – one for games, one for kids and one for grown-ups.

 

 

The split-level spa’s really high-end – there’s three saunas, a hammam, a steam room and squashy daybeds. The Bali Zone part of the spa includes a heated salt water pool. The Aska Lara Resort & Spa has loads of family-friendly features, including access to a massive waterpark. To get there, you just need to hop aboard the free shuttle to the Wet & Wild Aqua Park where you’ll find loads of flumes and a children’s splash park. Back at the hotel, the main pool’s got a shallow, walk-in shoreline. There’s also a snack bar by the water and a smaller pool on the other side of the gardens.

 

 

Evenings can be spent watching the sunset over beers at the beach bar. There are a couple of smart lounges back at the hotel, too, plus a nightclub that cranks up the volume after the kids have gone to bed! There’s an American feel to the hotel’s kids’ clubs, and they include an area for youngsters that looks like a ranch, plus a Wild West-inspired section for teens.
