Best Oasis Park

A stay at the Best Oasis Park makes it easy to flit between the pools and the beach, which is only a short stroll away. At the property, the main pool takes centre stage. It’s bookended by a duo of children’s splash pools, one of which comes with a pirate-ship slide.

A waterside bar keeps guests happy throughout the day. For proper meals, the main restaurant is a buffet affair that includes live cooking. During the day, little ones have a kids’ club, while adults have a gym. In the evening, expect flamenco dancers and live musicians.

Things to do in Salou

The Best Oasis Park’s postcode means it’s easy to explore Salou. After all, you’re only 10 minutes away from the town centre and its many attractions. The best is arguably PortAventura theme park. It has splash zones for kids and the tallest and fastest hypercoaster in Europe.

When you don’t fancy exploring, you have plenty of sunbathing options nearby. A five-minute walk will take you to the soft sands of Capellans Beach. This stretch of sand might only be small, but it has plenty of facilities, including kayaks for hire. It’s also sheltered from the wind, so you get the best of the weather.

Resort Summary

Salou has two main beaches – both of which are European Blue Flag winners – that offer the kind of beautiful, fine sand and stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea that we’ve come to expect from holidays to Costa Dorada. Playa de Llevant beach is a great choice for families as the water remains calm and shallow and the sand is consistently smooth – ideal conditions for splashing around or doing some snorkelling. Playa de Llevant has a long stretch of beach bars and there are also small play areas for children along the promenade.

The second beach in Salou is Playa de Ponent. It’s slightly shorter than Playa de Llevant but still a kilometre long with quaint cafes dotted along the sand, perfect for an ice cold refreshment. If you want to venture further afield the busier tourist hotspot of Cambrils is just up the coast line.
