Poseidon Resort

The Poseidon Resort is made up of two neighbouring buildings, and so the atmosphere is always lively!

Each building has its own buffet restaurant that serves a range of dishes, including traditional Spanish food. Outside, you have the choice of two pools, and one even comes with a shallow section for children.

Subject to numbers, the hotel also runs a kids’ club that’s packed with activities. After sunset, regular evening entertainment includes live music, shows and games.

Overview of Benidorm

If you’re looking for an action-packed holiday in a destination that can keep you entertained for 24 hours a day, Benidorm is the place to be. Whether you want to whizz down slides, skim across the sea or party the night away, you’ll never be short of options at the Poseidon Resort.

When you choose Benidorm for your holiday to Costa Blanca, you’re choosing a resort that’s a home away from home. The new town is full of Irish bars, British pubs and spots where you can get a Sunday roast. If you’re looking for culture, there’s plenty of Spanish charm in the old town.

Things to do in Benidorm

One of the main lures of the Poseidon Resort is its fantastic location. Levante Beach and the old town are within walking distance and the new town isn’t too far away, either.

Levante Beach is also known as Sunrise Beach, so if you’re up early enough, come down and watch the sun come up with a coffee. Throughout the day, the sands get incredibly busy. The waters are shallow enough for little ones, and further out there’s a playground with swing bridges, diving boards and rafts.

Most visitors come to Benidorm for the nightlife. As the sun sets, the beaches empty and the clubs fill up. There are foam parties, night-long raves and a choice of music to suit every taste.

If you’re looking for 24-hour fun and a different activity every day, Benidorm is the perfect choice.

Resort Summary

The six kilometres of sand formed by Benidorm’s two main bays are a big part of its appeal. Closest to the town centre, and near to many All Inclusive Costa Blanca hotels and restaurants, is Levante beach, also known as Sunrise Beach.

If you just want a paddle then you’ll find the shores pleasingly shallow, while further out in the water is a playground for all ages. There are swinging bridges, diving boards and rafts, with any number of watersports beyond, from banana boats to jet skiing. There is even a cable-skiing station in the sea at this end of town – it’s a bit like water-skiing, but without the boat.

The other bay is Poniente Beach. It’s a big beach, with a long, pedestrianised promenade and a playground for children. You’ll find it slightly calmer than Levante, but there are still plenty of restaurants looking out to sea here. It’s worth taking the trip up to the viewing point in between the two bays, dubbed the ‘Balcon del Mediterraneo’ the balcony of the Mediterranean, for the astounding views.

There’s also the opportunity to wander through the old town, where you’ll find amazing views over the bays and an impressive range of shops and markets to explore. If you fancy going further afield, head out into Costa Blanca to explore the Mediterranean Sea, mountains and natural parks of this beautiful area.
