Salema Beach Village
The Salema Beach Village has taken traditional Portuguese architecture and given it a contemporary twist. Each townhouse is stylish, with modern touches like Nespresso coffee machines. You’ll also have a fully-equipped kitchen where you can whip up your own meals.
In the centre of the village, there’s a curvy pool sat in a roomy sun terrace that has sunbeds, parasols and olive trees. Little ones can also make a splash in the two smaller pools and there’s a pool bar where you can enjoy a light meal or a refreshing drink.
When kids want to let off some steam, they can head to the outdoor playground or the whole family can play on the padel courts.
Overview of Acoteias
The highlight in Salema is the Blue Flag beach. Most of the village is also pulled up against the half-mile-long strip of sand, so everything’s only a short stroll from your lounger.
The whole area is nestled in a protected natural park, so you’ll enjoy beautiful views and a calming atmosphere. Although Salema is an incredibly relaxing place for a holiday to the Algarve, you can still get active because the resort’s position means it’s great for windsurfing.
Things to do in Salema
The Salema Beach Village is in Vicentine Coast Natural Park on the outskirts of Salema. You’re surrounded by narrow streets that wind past whitewashed houses that are traditionally Portuguese.
You’re also only a couple of minutes away from the Blue Flag beach where you can either make the most of the weather on a plush sunbed or rent some windsurfing equipment.
In the evening, octopus and sea bass are regularly on the menu in the waterfront restaurants. There’s a luxe feel and you can dine with a view.
With a stay at the Salema Beach Village, you’ll experience the Algarve at its traditional best.
