Silver Sands Hideaway

A quiet setting and a walk-to-the-beach location make the Silver Sands Hideaway a relaxing option. The hotel is fresh and modern. It’s whitewashed outside, while inside, the rooms have purple trimmings for a splash of colour. Plus, because there are only 23 rooms, there’s a sociable feel here that continues when guests meet around the pool.

The small pool also comes with an added jacuzzi and it’s lined with wicker loungers on both sides. Some are even big enough for sharing. The restaurant serves small breakfasts but later on there’s an a la carte menu that teams Goan food with international classics.

Things to do in Goa

As the name of the Silver Sands Hideaway suggests, it’s hidden away so it’s nice and peaceful. That said, you’re only 10 minutes’ walk from Candolim’s beach, as well as the bars and restaurants of the town centre.

Candolim is the favoured resort of people looking for laid-back days in the sunshine. The beach is the most relaxing in the state because it isn’t near the noise of the city. Beach shacks and water sports reign supreme during the day but, in the evening, beach bars and restaurants open their doors. Street performers also flock to the beach, creating a lively atmosphere.

Goa is a unique location you’ll fall in love with, and you’ll want to return again and again.

Resort Summary

When many people think of taking Goa holidays along the coastline, trance parties and jam-packed streets come to mind. But holidays in Candolim are wonderfully laid-back, still enjoying all the same scenery as its neighbouring resort Calangute but with the volume turned down. Wedged along the coast in northern Goa, Candolim is a haven for relaxation types, as the only thing that’s expected of you is to stretch out along the beach beside the Arabian Sea.

Located at the tail end of the beach connected to Calangute and Baga Beach, Candolim is the easy-going side of this trio’s holiday coin. When you aren’t at the beach, you’ll be wandering through local boutiques or pausing for a curry packed with fresh seafood. And if you’re in the mood for something a little livelier, Goa’s capital city is just on the horizon.
