The Nostos Studios comes with mountain views, pretty gardens and a bar that stays open until late. The hotel prides itself on being an oasis of calm and tranquillity, so you won’t find a pool or any noisy activities.
In the morning, the local bakery sends a van around with freshly baked bread, so it’s easy to put together a delicious self-catering breakfast. You’ll also have a kitchenette in your studio apartment, so you can rustle up cooked items.
In the evening, the hotel bar opens its shutters, so you can enjoy a drink in the peaceful gardens.
Overview of Golden Beach
The renowned Golden Beach is one of the most famous spots in Thassos. It’s a sandy shoreline that edges against the Aegean Sea and is backed by fragrant, pine-covered mountains. It’s a picture-perfect setting for a relaxing holiday to Thassos.
The beach might be the star of the show, but it isn’t the only thing the resort has to offer holidaymakers. There are plenty of tavernas for when you don’t fancy cooking, and several quiet bars where you can soak up the local atmosphere and culture.
Things to do in Golden Beach
Although there isn’t a pool at the Nostos Studios, you can easily walk to the beach. On the front, there’s two-and-a-half kilometres of sand that stretches all the way to Skala Potamias. If you love water sports, this is the place to be. There are jet skis and banana boats available to hire and you can also try your hand at windsurfing, kayaking and parasailing.
You’ll reach Golden Beach’s bars and tavernas in around 10 minutes. Authentic, traditional Greek cuisine’s served in most places. After dinner, enjoy a moonlit walk along the beach. And if history’s more your thing, it’s easy to reach the archaeological sites of Thassos Town.
You’ll leave the charming and laid-back Golden Beach feeling rested and recharged.
