Mar Hotels Rosa del Mar and Spa

With a lively pool scene and central location, the Rosa Del Mar Aparthotel is a big hit with families.

The star of the show here is undoubtedly the swimming pool that sits in the middle of the grounds. It’s the centre of the hotel, as the activities, bars and restaurants all fan out from here. Near the main pool, there’s even a separate splash park with slides for children.

Each studio, suite and apartment comes with a kitchenette and a dining table but, if you don’t fancy cooking, the hotel’s also home to a buffet restaurant, burger joint and smart a la carte eatery.

In the evening, shows and discos are on the agenda, while the bar also occasionally doubles as a stage for live bands.

Overview of Palma Nova

Palma Nova was one of the first tourism towns built on the island – and over the years it has learned more than a thing or two about offering visitors the best possible holiday to Majorca.

Palma Nova’s a lively resort that offers plenty of beach fun, packed bars and great links to nearby attractions. That said, Palma Nova is still quieter than neighbouring Magaluf, which is a five-minute drive away.

Instead of the nightclubs, the beaches in Palma Nova are the stars of the show. When you stay at the Mar Hotels Rosa del Mar and Spa, you’ll have a choice of three beaches that all offer places to dine as you look out to sea.

Things to do in Palma Nova

The Mar Hotels Rosa del Mar and Spa is right in the heart of Palma Nova. This means you’re only a couple of minutes’ walk away from the lively shops, cafes and bars.

In a similar distance, you’ll reach Son Matias’ pale sweep of sand. There’s a good supply of sunloungers here, as well as a smart promenade where you can go for a stroll or stop and grab a drink away from the heat.

If you’re searching for family-friendly fun, head to Golf Fantasia. It’s home to three 18-hole mini-golf courses that are all surrounded by stunning scenery including caves and waterfalls.

Thanks to its combination of beautiful beaches, long promenades and stunning scenery, you’ll find plenty of fun when you stay in Palma Nova and the whole family will have a memorable break.

Resort Summary

Palma Nova has three white, sandy beaches, the longest and most popular of which being Playa Carregador. This European Blue Flag-winning beach is 600 metres long and runs up to Palma Nova’s busy harbour.

There’s tons of space here for families to set up camp and the shallow, warm water is great for the little ones to do some splashing around in. There are even a few playgrounds at the rear of the beach to keep the kids occupied while you soak up the rays. This beach is ideal for water sports and you’ll find scuba diving groups, snorkellers and glass-bottomed boats making their way across the sea.

The two other beaches are Playa Palma Nova and Son Maties, both are also Blue Flag winners so are clean and have great facilities, plus there are parasols and sun loungers for rent. Son Maties has a few bars and restaurants along the promenade offering delicious drinks and a solid view of the Mediterranean Sea.
