Things to do in Palma Nova

Golf is big in Palma Nova, with three courses and plenty of mini-golf fun on tap. You don’t need to be a PGA master to have a great time here, and there is a distinctly family-friendly vibe in place, with children welcome to try it out, too. After golf, hit the beach. Palma Nova has three excellent stretches of sand to enjoy. Playa Carregador is the largest and most popular of the three and is ideal for keen snorkelers and divers. Every beach enjoys Blue Flag status and has shallow waters for safe paddling. Palma Nova nightlife is mainly about exploring the local restaurants, bars and pubs. For a more party-laden evening, head into famous Magaluf. For a relaxed holiday with a party twist a short drive away, a stay at Globales Mimosa Hotel will tick all boxes.

Resort Summary

Palma Nova has three white, sandy beaches, the longest and most popular of which being Playa Carregador. This European Blue Flag-winning beach is 600 metres long and runs up to Palma Nova’s busy harbour.

There’s tons of space here for families to set up camp and the shallow, warm water is great for the little ones to do some splashing around in. There are even a few playgrounds at the rear of the beach to keep the kids occupied while you soak up the rays. This beach is ideal for water sports and you’ll find scuba diving groups, snorkellers and glass-bottomed boats making their way across the sea.

The two other beaches are Playa Palma Nova and Son Maties, both are also Blue Flag winners so are clean and have great facilities, plus there are parasols and sun loungers for rent. Son Maties has a few bars and restaurants along the promenade offering delicious drinks and a solid view of the Mediterranean Sea.
