Things to do in Palma Nova

There are more than 100 restaurants in Palma Nova, so it’s something of a foodie paradise, especially for those that are partial to freshly prepared seafood. With a still functioning fishing port in place, there’s a regular influx of incredible delicacies to sample but don’t worry if you’re not a fish fan, there are lots of international offerings as well. Golfing enthusiasts will definitely want to swing a club or two at Golf Fantasia and keen bargain hunters will be unable to resist a day of shopping in nearby Palma. When the sun goes down, Palma Nova livens up significantly but is still very tame compared to neighbouring Magaluf which is every clubber’s dream. The AluaSun Torrenova is perfectly positioned for getting there easily.

Resort Summary

Palma Nova has three white, sandy beaches, the longest and most popular of which being Playa Carregador. This European Blue Flag-winning beach is 600 metres long and runs up to Palma Nova’s busy harbour.

There’s tons of space here for families to set up camp and the shallow, warm water is great for the little ones to do some splashing around in. There are even a few playgrounds at the rear of the beach to keep the kids occupied while you soak up the rays. This beach is ideal for water sports and you’ll find scuba diving groups, snorkellers and glass-bottomed boats making their way across the sea.

The two other beaches are Playa Palma Nova and Son Maties, both are also Blue Flag winners so are clean and have great facilities, plus there are parasols and sun loungers for rent. Son Maties has a few bars and restaurants along the promenade offering delicious drinks and a solid view of the Mediterranean Sea.
