Book Cheap Flights From Newcastle Airport

Newcastle Airport is the largest airport in the north east of England and is one of Europe's most successful regional airports. Ideally situated just off the A1 it is extremely accessible from anywhere in the UK. The airport handles over 5 million travellers each year and can fly you to 85 world wide destinations. Newcastle Airport began life in Cramlington in 1925, and in 1935 moved to its current site in Woolsington. There was tremendous expansion during the 1960s due to the increase in popularity of package holidays, then in 2004 the Departure Terminal was expanded and refurbished and in 2007 a new state of the art Air Traffic Control Tower was completed. The airport continues to go from strength to strength and has a continued programme of expansion.

Newcastle Airport is located approximately 6 miles north of the city itself. There is easy access from the A1, A66 or the A74 and strong rail links to Newcastle Central and Sunderland via the Metro. A regular bus service every hour and half hour links the airport to the city centre and surrounding villages.
