MyTravel Holidays - The Established UK Travel Company

The Origins Of The MyTravel Group

MyTravel was actually founded under the Airtours brand in the early 1970's in Lancashire, UK. In the 1980's Airtours launched its own in-house charter airline and had continued success in the package holiday market. In the 1990's Airtours purchased a number of Tour Operators and expanded their share of the package holiday market. In 2002 the Airtours name was re-branded to become MyTravel Group PLC and the airlines Airtours International and Premiair were re-branded to become MyTravel Airways.

In Northern Europe high street shops were also changed to reflect the MyTravel re-branding, although the Going Places name was retained in the UK due to the popularity of the brand.
