Alvor holidays are situated on a resort in the south of Portugal, located in the Algarve region.

Alvor is a very old coastal village founded by the Carthaginians, which has sprung up from its ancient roots to become a popular Algarve holiday destination. Alvor holidays can offer some excellent high-class Alvor Hotels located close to fine sandy beaches, but the narrow streets and compact design of the town have kept the resort development to a minimum. Set in a sheltered cove Alvor has its own long sandy beach and some smaller coves amongst the cliffs.

Holidays in Alvor give you the chance to visit the larger resort of Praia da Rocha nearby. You can also visit the town of Portimao where there's a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants to offer you an exciting and varied holiday. Alvor holidays are popular with those looking for a fairly quiet Algarve holiday in traditional surroundings with the option of a nice change of pace in neighbouring Portimao.
