Destination

So what’s brilliant about Benidorm holidays? Benidorm is one of Spain’s most popular tourist resorts, with stunning beaches and a flight time of only two hours from the UK. Once a sleepy fishing village, Benidorm has long been transformed, with its vibrant nightlife, theme parks, shops, markets and blue flag beaches.

The Old Town has retained its Spanish charm and culture with its maze of cobbled streets, blue-domed church and white washed houses. The white stoned balcony at the Historical Centre has become a popular spot for newlywed wanting some cherished photos due to the spectacular views.

Three stunning beaches stretch for over six miles – with Lavente Beach being the most popular, Poniente Beach is quieter and is well known for its stunning sunsets, and the smallest of the resorts beaches is Malpas beach.

You’ll find four theme and water parks in Benidorm, including Terra Mitica, the biggest theme park in Spain, and Aqualandia.

Golfers are spoilt for choice as there are 15 golf courses within a two hour drive of the resort, two of which are championship courses.

Nightly entertainment ensure Benidorm comes alive after hours and it is better known for cabaret style acts and  comedy clubs.

Accommodation overview

Flamingo Oasis

As holiday gems go, the Flamingo Oasis takes some beating – as its set in the Rincon de Loix area of Benidorm. It’s quieter than the town centre and the beach is only a few minutes walk away. Plus there are plenty of bars and restaurants right on the hotel’s doorstep.

The lobby stands out thanks to the spot lit ceiling, marble floors and subtropical plants. On the 25th floor is the Skyline roof top bar, it serves up some stunning views over Benidorm and the peak of Puig Campana. There is a pool on this floor too but it’s adults only.

Time for fun

If you’re looking for fun then you’ve come to the right place, as you can do as much or as little as you want at the Flamingo Oasis. The real standout feature of this place though is the pool scene, with the spotlight shining firmly on the large lagoon shaped pool. Plus right next to this is a children’s splash pool. If you prefer to swim indoors then there is a heated indoor pool. If you want to get away from it all there’s an adult’s only relaxation area with spa showers and water jets beds.

Upgrade to one of the adult only rooms and you’ll have access to a rooftop pool and the Skyline bar. For the ultimate relaxation head to the spa zone, where you can treat yourself to a relaxing massage, Jacuzzi or even a range of beauty treatments.

There is no excuse not to stick to your fitness regime as the hotel has a fully equipped gym and multisport zone. You will be able to work up a sweat and burn enough calories to treat yourself to guilt free dessert.

On the entertainment front, there’s plenty worth talking about with the Piano Bar playing live music. Don’t miss out on the family fun and entertainment at Flamingo Fiesta Disco, with shows from the musicals.

The Arena restaurant will send your taste buds into a frenzy. Expect a mix of international dishes and Spanish favourites, but make sure you save room as the dessert buffet is not to be missed. The Azure restaurant does special themed evenings highlighting flavours from around the world.

If you prefer to grab a quick snack during the day, the Laguna Bar is just next to the main pool and serves up hot and cold snacks each day.

Step inside the bedrooms where you’ll find they area a bright, clean, spacious affair without being too try-hard. They are really good looking spaces, decorated with a soft and calming colour scheme. There is plenty of room options to meet your needs but our favourite is the club suites which have their own lounge areas complete with comfy armchairs, champagne on arrival and their own dedicated check-in-desk.
