10 Top Ways To Save On 2024 Holidays

Craving the sun on your skin and the sand between your toes? Prepare for a 2024 escape that’s hot, sunny and great value for money with some of our favourite holiday saving tips…

1. Try Odd Holiday Durations

More often than not, people book holidays for one or two weeks. However, sometimes you can find the best deals crop up on holidays for less popular durations. Next time you’re searching, see what kind of deals you find if you opt for eight nights, 10 nights or 13 nights. This trick won’t make the world of difference every time, but just sometimes you’ll find a hidden gem that’s an absolute bargain!

You can use our handy holiday searcher to look at different durations, and once you have your list of deals you can use our fabulous filtering system to make sure they’re perfect for you. Check it out here.

2. Be Flexible With Your Departure Airport

Everyone has a handful of selected airports they would prefer to fly from – most likely the ones closest to your home town. However, it can make a significant difference to your price to be open-minded about travelling that little bit further to your departure airport. Quite often, bigger airports such as Manchester, Birmingham and London airports will have better value deals due to the volume of holidays that depart from them.

3. Check Deals At The Start & End Of Season

It goes without saying that the most expensive time for a holiday is often in the height of the summer holidays. This is why we always love sneaking in a holiday in the quieter, start or end-of-season weeks. You’ll often find great deals in months such as May, when many destinations are hotting up, or September, when the schools have all just gone back. Being open-minded to holidays at all times of the year could really help you bag a bargain!

4. Get The Best Value With All Inclusive

Whilst many of our customers LOVE an All Inclusive getaway, there are still plenty who haven’t yet tried one. It can be tempting to choose the self catering or half-board option when you know you want to get out of your hotel and explore the local area. However, the value you get from All Inclusive is unmatched. When you add up how much your party would spend on three meals a day, along with drinks and snacks, and then compare that to your average daily price of an All Inclusive holiday, almost every time the All Inclusive option will be cheaper. If you’ve not yet given it a go, we suggest you do!

6. Be Open-Minded About Your Destination

Open to trying new destinations? You’ll be much more likely to find a cheap deal if so! Often, the best thing to do is put in your preferred dates and departure airports and let the deals choose themselves. It’s not only a great way to find holidays at great prices, but it gives you so much opportunity to discover a place or culture you may not have considered before. From Tunisia to Thailand and Malta to Mauritius, you just never know where you’ll end up!
