Fantastic, affordable holidays are always on the menu in Morocco

Reaching the stunning shores of Morocco doesn’t take long – flights from the UK can get you there in just over three hours.

Once you’re here, there’s no end to the budget-friendly hotels, restaurants and activities and you won’t be missing out on anything. Morocco is right on the tip of Africa, giving it a blend of African, Arabic and European influences. You’ll find all of this within the realm of its two main cities, Agadir and Marrakech.

Agadir is a popular spot due to its gorgeous Blue Flag beaches and newly built, modern city. It also has fantastic markets to wander and numerous cheap All Inclusive hotels to help you save money on eating out.

If you want to experience authentic Moroccan living, then Marrakech is the place to go. Famously known as the Red City, it was built over 1000 years ago and has winding streets and small squares filled with local life, shops and outdoor markets. It’s not just traditional living here though – Marrakech is also home to budget resorts and hotels, all with large outdoor pools to help you cool off and spectacular coastal views to never forget.

The fabulous weather in Morocco means there’s no bad time to visit, but if you want to save a little bit, plan your trip during the off season, of which Morocco has two. The first is generally from October to November and the second from January to March. Booking a cheap Morocco holiday doesn’t mean you miss out on the sunny skies, between January and March the temperature won’t usually fall below 20 degrees and in October to November they’re still in the late 20s. December is usually busy as the weather cools down and people book their Christmas getaways.

Cheap days out in Morocco

Agadir is one of the newest cities in Morocco, but it still holds old town charms. Walk along the five-kilometre promenade and peer into its fantastic range of bars and restaurants, or just take in the plentiful sea views. Agadir is prime beach property, with several Blue Flag beaches including the ever popular Agadir Beach. This public beach stretches for over nine kilometres and has tons of sunloungers and parasols dotted throughout, perfect for an affordable day out. Hotels are built along the Agadir coast so you’ll be just minutes away from the sand.

Marrakech is drenched in history and can be recognised by the exotic smells and tastes from the biggest market square in north Africa – the Jemaa el-Fna. For another free day out in Morocco, wander the stalls, check out the snake charmers, listen to live music and watch some traditional belly dancing. Marrakech also has an old Jewish quarter where you can meander the white and blue courtyard of the Lazama Synagogue.

There’s no need to feel like booking your cheap Morocco holiday means you’ll have to just stay in the hotel, there’s plenty you can get out and about to do and see. Although, if you look at the all inclusive Morocco deals, you might be surprised at what you’ll get for your money and then you might not need to leave the hotel if that suits you more.
