Yalikavak Holidays

Location Of Yalikavak

Yalikavak is a fairly quiet little fishing village on the northern shore of the Bodrum Peninsula in Turkey.

Yalikavak - A Traditional Turkish Holiday Village

Although it's still a working fishing port Yalikavak holidays have begun to attract more and more tourists. Consequently Yalikavak has a number of good restaurants and bars in which to enjoy the ambiance of the traditional Turkish way of life. Some of the old buildings in Yalikavak have even undergone renovation to become something entirely new, such as the old water cistern that became a little art gallery and the former olive oil press that has become a souvenir shop.

There is a long sandy beach close to Yalikavak that's washed by warm clear waters where the Aegean meets the Med. Heading southeast from Yalikavak toward the gloriously hedonistic nightlife of Bodrum Town, the fertile valleys and spectacular mountain range along the centre of the peninsula provide a picturesque spine to this scenic region. The nightlife on Yalikavak holidays is much more scaled down than that of Bodrum but there are a few good bars and a handful of the Hotels have late night discos. As Yalikavak is a fishing village there are a number of good seafood restaurants serving the local catches and a selection of other Turkish delicacies.
