Piskopiano Village Holidays

Romance And Drama...

Chiselled into the side of the Harakas Mountain is one of the oldest villages in western Crete. Piskopiano Village is home to Basilica ruins from the sixth century and has stayed so true to its roots that the Greek oozes out everywhere you look. Whitewashed walls, terracotta roofs and blue shutters frame the narrow lanes. The wrought iron balconies add a sense of drama and romance not seen since Mama Mia.

The resort lies halfway between Koutouloufari and the beach resort of Hersonissos and has a few small accommodations ideal for those wanting an authentic Greek getaway.

A Greek Culture Fix...

Get your culture fix from the sixteenth century church of Agios Ioannis and get pictures of the Greece people only see in books. For entertainment look no further than the Tavernas scattering the area. They draw the crowds for their food which is traditional, authentic and very well prepared.

You won’t be disappointed with the delights you can sample and don’t forget to wash it all down in a Greek way, with a shot of fiery ouzo! If you are around in September you will notice the tables and chairs being shuffled around to make space for the grape pressing. It’s not every holiday you will get a snap like that to take home.
