Overview of Costa Dorada

With gorgeous beaches and vibrant nightlife close by, you’ll find plenty of reasons to fall in love with Costa Dorada. A slightly more relaxed resort than its neighbours, holidays to Costa Dorada provide plenty of opportunities to relax, unwind, and take in the beautiful scenery that surrounds you. Here, the golden sand stretches for as far as the eye can see, so you’ll feel as if you’re lost on a romantic desert island. However, it’s not all about quiet days. There are plenty of activities to indulge in, including water sports and nights out. For fun in the sun, look no further than this lovely spot in Spain.

Things to do in Costa Dorada

The centre of La Pineda is only a 10-minute walk from the Estival Park and Apartments. The large beach close to the hotel is a major selling point, as is the local water park that’s situated right on the main street. Kids especially love the dolphinarium, where they can interact with these magnificent animals, while Spain’s biggest theme park, PortAventura, is also practically next door. If you fancy venturing further afield and experiencing some culture, then you’ll find the popular tourist city of Salou close by, which has a number of restaurants, historic buildings and monuments to explore.

Resort Summary

The biggest reason for the ever-increasing numbers of people travelling to La Pineda and nearby destinations on Costa Dorada holidays is that this region is ideal for bucket and spade holidays. There are excellent beaches all along the southern coast of Spain, and La Pineda definitely delivers the goods. Three kilometres of unbroken sands line the town’s edge but there are two distinct areas – Playa Pineda and Playa del Raco. Playa Pineda is the town’s main beach and where you’ll find all the beachside bars and restaurants. When the beach becomes Playa del Raco it gets wider and slopes gently into the water, making it the perfect spot for swimming.
