Here we take a look at where’s hot and where’s not to pop the question “will you marry me”. Asking someone to marry you is one of the biggest steps you’ll take in life so it’s important to get it right. Valentines day is fast approaching, will you decide to ask the love of your life the big question on the 14th February? The typical Paris and Venice are not on our list, why not try something a bit more adventurous, different and luxurious? We’ve looked at 5 destinations below for different tastes, which couple are you?

High rollers

When you think of the Big Apple New York City, bright lights, tall buildings and yellow cabs spring to mind. Do you dare propose to your love on a billboard in Time Square? If you really want to throw a party of it and hire a group of people to break down into a flash mob.

Classic Contemporary  

Florence is the capital city in the Italian region of Tuscany. With all sorts to see and do Florence’s museums, palaces, and churches which house some of the greatest artistic treasures in the world. This spot is definitely for the more contemporary couple.

Cultured Coupling

Everybody loves Rome right? The capital of Italy and history, here are a few spectacular landmarks to propose at and one that they’ll definitely remember. There is the gorgeous back drop at Trevi Fountain or looking up towards The Spanish steps or a country in itself The Vatican.  The tourist areas can be very busy especially during peak months so plan wisely to fit the attractions into your schedule.

What about whilst searching for the Big 5 on a Safari? Prince William popped the question to Kate in Kenya why not try the same in the Maasai Mara. Watch out for the photo bombs from those elephants!

Romantic Roamers

Over 1000 islands scattered in the Indian Ocean you’ll stagger across the hidden gems of the Maldives. It’s probably on everyone’s dream destination list. Many resorts have water villas overlooking the coral blue waters watching the sun cascade in the distance.  Is this your perfect time to pop the question?
