TUI comes to the aid of riot police

Travel giants Thomson and First Choice, both part of the TUI group, are bending the rules to come to the aid of riot police.  Any officer who has had to miss their holiday this week due to all leave being cancelled, will be allowed to rebook without incurring any charges.

Riot police have had all leave cancelled

Distribution director at TUI, Nick Longman confirmed the decision stating “We know how important holidays are and that nobody needs a holiday more than members of the police force right now. We want to ensure that all members of the police will still be able to take their well earned break with us, at a time convenient to them.”

He added that some of his staff members have been directly affected by the riots and the company as a whole want to do anything they can to help. Longman advised any officers missing out on their holiday to pop into their local First Choice or Thomson shops, where staff would be more than happy to rearrange their holiday free of charge.
