The school summer holidays aren’t just for the students to enjoy — teachers deserve a much-needed break too! St Lucia

For a far-flung getaway that’s a world away from the classroom, St Lucia has you covered. It may be considered one of the best honeymoon destinations in the world, yet this tropical treasure has plenty up its sleeve for when you want to escape with friends too — expect a perfect combination of relaxation and really good fun. From show-stopping street parties to zip lining through the jungle or simply kicking back on the Caribbean sands, chances are when you’re in this beautiful location you won’t give those exam papers a second thought!

Cape Verde

Since it’s a little less known in comparison to your usual summer hotspots, chances of you bumping into anyone you know are super slim. Not only that, parts of its beaches are footprint free and serve up total tranquility which means you’ll be able to catch up on all those zzz’s you missed throughout the school term.

With the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Mariah Carey holidaying here, you know the nightlife scene is going to be impressive. So, it’s time to swap the paperwork for a Pina Colada…
